A Community Still In Crisis
Eight months after Hurricane Helene, Western North Carolina is still grappling with a severe crisis. The need for safe, stable homes has never been greater.
Many families remain displaced, while others are living in unsafe or inadequate conditions. The result is a community that feels forgotten, left without the resources needed to move forward.
The recovery is far from over:
- Bridges are still out.
- Roads remain under repair.
- Abandoned cars line rivers and roadsides.
- Debris hangs in trees up to 25 feet high and litters neighborhoods.
- Power lines dangle dangerously across roads.
- Heavy rains continue to trigger landslides.
Caroling for Carolina is more than a musical event, it’s a movement of hope, unity, and tangible help for those still struggling to rebuild. Every note sung and every dollar raised brings us one step closer to rebuilding homes and lives in Western North Carolina.
